Independent, Individually Tailored Support to Help Your Business Thrive
All the services offered are built around your needs, goals and aspirations. Taking the time to understand you, your business, your preferred ways of working and the wider landscape within which you operate is fundamental to building trust and coming up with the exact right support for you.
As hands-on or hands-off as you want, I’ll challenge assumptions, provide robust advice and offer practical help to make the change you want to see become a reality.
Well-versed in the pressures of being a business owner and with a deep understanding of the wider issues that may come into play, Bridging the Gap works with businesses at every stage of their life cycle.
Maybe you’re an early-days start-up or planning to scale up? Do you want to pave the way for the successful sale of your business or are you looking for that outside perspective an experienced Non-Executive Director can bring?
Here’s how I can bridge the gap to get your business to where you want it to be:
Much more than a ‘coaching approach:’ any advice, guidance and direction always comes with an eye towards creating an actionable plan that will deliver the necessary progress. If you already have a plan for growth, having me as a sounding board to test new ideas or review your plan can prove very useful. It may mean having difficult conversations and being compelled to make tough decisions but working together is all about identifying the right things to move your business forward.
Reflecting on insights and knowing what needs to be done is only half the solution. The hard work starts when you begin to implement the advice given. I know how difficult it can be to find the capacity to do the work needed to get your business to the next level. This is why I am more than happy to get involved with putting the plans we come up with into action. And because I understand the benefits of introducing a fresh, external perspective into the mix I can also help by coming in as a Non-Executive Director. In this way your business benefits from everything I have to offer, from knowledge to contacts, ideas to constructive criticism. We may only need to meet once or twice a year – you set the frequency and the agenda.
Investing time in working with your business is a given. I can also help ensure that you’re using your time effectively and identify areas where improvements could be made. Having spent time getting to know you and your business, and, if the opportunity and terms work for both of us, I occasionally consider coming in as an angel investor.
