Why Bridging the Gap?
Bridging the Gap is founded on a firm belief in the value of independent, individually tailored, private sector led business support.
It addresses the gap that its founder Sarah Trethowan believes exists between funded provision and what businesses need to realise their ambitions:
“I’ll be providing the type of support I wish I’d had over the 16 years I spent building, running and eventually selling my business, TRAC Services. I know the challenges, highs and lows of running a business day-to-day: how lonely it can be and how frustrating it is, wasting time on the wrong type of support or not knowing where to turn. I know what works and, more importantly, what doesn’t. I can be a sounding board, a critical friend, an extra pair of hands tasked with implementation, as well as being a potential source of angel investment or coming on board as a Non-Executive Director.”
About Sarah Trethowan
Sarah co-founded pharmaceutical consultancy, TRAC Services in 2001. Leading the operational and marketing side of the business, she was instrumental in taking it from a two-person start-up to a multi award winning, market-leading business with global reach and a staff of 20. In 2017, she sold TRAC Services to the PharmaLex Group.
Her many years of experience in a service-oriented business go hand in hand with a commitment to, and involvement with, regional economic development policy in Cornwall. Sarah has served on the Local Enterprise Partnership as the SME representative and, as a Chartered Director with the Institute of Directors, has some 10 years’ experience as a Non-Executive Director.
With a powerful network of connections and an in-depth knowledge of Cornwall as a location for building a world-class enterprise, working with Sarah means you can access support at both strategic and operational level as well as benefitting from the advice of someone who has truly stood in their shoes.
